Cables
Our HomeNet cables consist of a bundle of three different types
of cables:
•
Quad Shield Coax (QRG-6) supports cable, satellite and antennae
TV, security cameras, cable modems, and audio/video signals.
• Twisted pair (Cat5) supports telephone, computer networking,
fax, modems, infrared, receive/transmit, and ISDN.
•
Fiber optic cable provides the bandwidth to handle the needs of
the future, such as interactive TV, digital video, audio and computing.
Each type of cable contains a pair of that type. That means there
is 2 Cat5, 2 Video and 2 fiber optic. This allows for an input and
output for each technology.
